Sweat it out at this beauty of a sauna with amazing views across the bay
Compared to the standard four-by-two saunas we sweat it out at gyms and hotels, this beauty designed by Canadian studio Partisans is one of a dream kind that we wouldn’t want to get out in a hurry, heated up or not. A large percentage of the prefabricated design was constructed before it was transported and installed on a private island’s prehistoric formation by the bay, located at the north of Toronto.
Its beautifully sculpted interiors, inspired by a grotto which is a cave-like volume often found near water, were designed and built using 3-D technology to scan and model. Large windows offer unobstructed views across the bay and a skylight invites natural light into the 75 square meter private indulgence.
