Singapore Timelapse Took 500 Days And 1 Million Photos To Make

3 years, 500 days of shooting, almost one million images and 10 terabytes of data – these are the numbers behind Keith Loutit’s newest Singapore time-lapse The Lion City II. Statistics aside, it’s a triumph of skill, patience, and beauty.

When we pass by landscapes they appear fixed in time, but they change around us constantly,” writes Loutit. “The idea behind this film is to reveal this change by returning to the same camera positions over the years.

It shows the forever flowing life in a big city, with buildings being constructed and demolished in seconds and thousands of daily commutes blurring into faint trails of light, giving us, the viewer, a whole new perspective on the city.

To complete his creation Keith teamed up with Sepia Productions for a soundtrack that perfectly highlights the fast tempo of a bustling modern city.
